What activity trackers are compatible with Challenges?
This article explains the activity tracking integration options and which challenges they're compatible with.
Close Your Rings Challenge
Apple Watch
In the Close Your Rings Challenge, users compete in an activity challenge where points are earned by closing the Apple Watch Activity rings.
You go about your day closing each ring on the Apple Watch Activity app, and the Challenges app will record the points automatically for you.
Because of this, an Apple Watch is required for this Challenge type.
The Close Your Rings Challenge is only available on iOS.
Eat Well Challenge
iOS: Steps from Apple Health, or Apple Watch Move Activity
Android: Steps from Google Fit
In the Eat Well Challenge, users compete and points are earned based on three categories of healthy behavior: meals logged, fruit and vegetable servings logged, and exercise/activity.
iOS users can track their activity via Steps from Apple Health or the Apple Watch “Move” activity. Android users can track their steps via Google Fit.
If you choose Steps from Apple Health you can NOT switch to tracking from your Apple Watch or vice versa mid-challenge.
The Lose It! app is also required for this Challenge type. You can download Lose It! in both the iOS App Store and the Google Play Store.
Apple Health (iOS) or Google Fit (Android) integration must be set up in Lose It! to begin generating meal, fruits, and veggies points in Challenges. For Apple Health integration, follow the steps in this support article. For Google Fit integration, follow the steps in this support article.
Move More Challenge
iOS: Steps from Apple Health or Fitbit, or Apple Watch Move Activity
Android: Steps from Google Fit or Fitbit
In the Move More Challenge, users compete in an activity challenge where points are earned based on the number of steps they take with their steps tracker or the number of calories your Apple Watch Move ring reports that they've burned.
iOS users can track their activity via Steps from Apple Health, Steps from Fitbit, or the Apple Watch “Move” activity. Android users can track their steps via Google Fit or Fitbit.
If you choose Steps from Apple Health you can NOT switch to tracking from your Apple Watch or vice versa mid-challenge.
