Apple Eat Well FAQ
This list of frequently asked questions will be updated regularly to address any troubleshooting questions we hear during registration and the active period of the Apple Eat Well Challenge.
Can Steps Be Used to Earn Points in the Apple Eat Well Challenge?
No. Steps count will not be used to earn points in this challenge. In the Apple Eat Well Challenge, your points are determined by your Move Goal progress on your Apple Watch or Apple Fitness. You must rely on your Apple Watch to track movement and earn points. If you do not own an Apple Watch, fitness should track your movement based on your iPhone. If you own an Apple Watch but do not use it, it is encouraged to use it while the Challenge is active. You can also unpair the Watch from your device so Apple Fitness can use your iPhone as a tracking source.
My Move Goal, Fruits/Veggies, or Mindful Check-Ins are not adding points even though I've logged them.
We've had reports of other users who have logged in successfully, but points are not generating in Challenges. Reinstalling the Challenges app should resolve this issue.
Can I use Lose It! to earn fruits and veggies points?
No. In the Apple Eat Well Challenge, fruit and veggies logging does not rely on Lose It!, unlike the public Eat Well challenge. Fruits and Veggies logging is performed directly in the Challenges app. Click here to find out how to log fruits and veggies.
Can Android users participate in the Apple Eat Well Challenge?
Yes. BUT, you can only perform fruit and veggie check-ins and mindful check-ins. You can not earn more points unless you are using iOS with an Apple Watch or the Apple Fitness app.
Can I add check-ins on previous days?
No. Once a day has been completed, there is no way to add a fruit or veggie check-in to a previous day.
Can I use Lose It! to log fruits and veggies?
No. Unlike the traditional Eat Well Challenge, which relies on Lose It! to sync foods to Challenges, the Apple Eat Well Challenge allows you to log all fruits and veggies directly in the Challenges app.
My Invite Code is already in use. How do I fix this?
Open a ticket with the Challenges support team. Please share your Invite Code, Apple Connect email, and Challenges account details.
How can I remove a person from my team?
Unfortunately, there is no way to remove someone from your team. You can leave your current team and create a new "Invite Only" team. Then, you can invite your active teammates to the new team.
Please refer to this Help Center article for instructions if you want to leave your current team.
Why am I being asked to enter a code when accepting a team invite?
You are likely not enrolled in the Mindful Eat challenge yet. Before joining a team, you must enroll in the challenge. The Apple Wellness team sent invite codes to your Apple Connect email. Please look at this code in your Apple Connect inbox and enter it when you join the Eat Well Challenge or accept the team invite.
Can my points be recalculated if my Apple Watch or iPhone was not tracking movement accurately?
No. To earn points, your chosen device must actively track your movement. We cannot award points if you are not wearing your device or your device is not powered on and tracking movement correctly.
Questions about Eat Well Challenge reward distribution?
