Team vs. Individual Challenges

One of our most highly requested features has been the ability to create individual challenges instead of teams - we're excited to tell you we have finally added this as an option.

We now offer two competition types for Challenges: Individual and Team.

Team Challenges

Participants join forces by forming teams and competing. Each participant can only be on one team per Challenge. Teams can be a maximum size of 4 participants. There is no limit to the number of teams that can be in a Challenge.

Individual Challenges

Participants compete one on one - no teams allowed.

  • If you're an individual wishing to participate in a team challenge, the best workaround would be to create your own team, and ensure you set the team to 'Invite Only' so that you're a team of 1.

Note:

There is no limit to the number of individuals that can be in a Challenge.

FAQs

How do points differ between the two competition types?

The only difference is that you do not earn team bonus points, so in an Individual Competition type, the max points will be 98.

Can I have teams and individuals in the same Challenge?

If the competition type is Individual, teams cannot be created. If you're an individual wishing to participate in a team challenge, the best workaround would be to create your own team, and ensure you set the team to 'Invite Only' so that you're a team of 1.

Can I change my competition type to Individual once a challenge has been created?

Once a Challenge has created, it cannot be edited. You cannot change a team challenge to an individual challenge - you must create a new challenge.
