How to Maximize Your Fruit and Veggie Points in the Eat Well Challenge
This article will explain how to log foods with multiple fruits and veggies (such as smoothies, salads, etc) in the Eat Well Challenge.
If your fruit/veggie is part of a food with many components (i.e. smoothie, salad, or soup) then you will get the most points by logging each item individually.
We suggest creating a recipe within Lose It! for your food item, especially if it's something you eat often, like a daily smoothie.
How to Create a Recipe in the Lose It! App on an iPhone
- Tap Profile button (top right)
- Find the Foods section
- Select Recipes
- Select (+) in the top right corner
- Name your recipe and press Save
- Tap Total Recipe Size to determine how much your recipe will make and select your serving type
- Tap Add Food to add each ingredient in full (e.g. 1 pound ground beef, 1 cup refried beans, 2 medium tomatoes)
- Tap Portion Size if you wish to edit the number of servings per portion
- Tap Done
How to Create a Recipe in the Lose It! App on an Android
- Tap Profile button (top right)
- Find the Foods section
- Select Recipes
- Select "Create Recipe" in the bottom right corner
- Tap Recipe Name to name your recipe
- Tap Total Recipe Size to determine how much your recipe will make and select your serving type
- Tap Add Food to add each ingredient in full (e.g. 1 pound ground beef, 1 cup refried beans, 2 medium tomatoes)
- Tap Portion Size if you wish to edit the number of servings per portion
- Tap Done
